„NAMUR comes to China“ - eine sehr erfolgreiche Veranstaltung
“NAMUR comes to China” – an extremely successful event
Viele NAMUR-Mitgliedsfirmen haben Produktionsstätten in China oder bieten ihre Engineeringleistungen dort an. Vor etwa einem Jahr hatte die NAMUR deswegen beschlossen, eine Konferenz in China zu veranstalten und damit den Erfahrungs-austausch von Anwendern der Automatisierungstechnik unter den dortigen besonderen Randbedingungen zu fördern.
Diese erste NAMUR-Konferenz fand unter dem Motto „NAMUR comes to China“ am 19. und 20. November 2009 in Shanghai statt und übertraf sowohl im Hinblick auf die Teilnehmerzahl als auch inhaltlich alle Erwartungen. Sie war geprägt von außerordentlich interessanten Beiträgen und einer sehr offenen Diskussionskultur, die das große Interesse der Teilnehmer an einem Erfahrungsaustausch mit Kollegen zeigte. „NAMUR comes to China“ hatte 88 Teilnehmer aus mehr als 20 Unternehmen der Prozessindustrie, dem universitären Bereich und Presse. Dies bedeutet nicht nur eine unerwartet hohe Teilnehmerzahl: 88 ist eine chinesische Glückszahl, was für die Aktivitäten der NAMUR nur als gutes Omen gewertet werden kann.
„NAMUR comes to China“ wurde von Endress+Hauser gesponsert und mit wertvollen Beiträgen auch inhaltlich maßgeblich unterstützt. Endress+Hauser ist in China mit eigener Fertigung und Vertrieb vertreten.
Ein Ergebnis von „NAMUR comes to China“ war die Identifizierung der folgenden Themen aus dem gesamten NAMUR-Spektrum, auf den sich ein Erfahrungsaustausch in China zunächst konzentrieren sollte:
- Explosionsschutz
- Funktionale Sicherheit
- Planung
- Asset Management
- Distributed Control System
Es ist geplant, zu den identifizierten Themen Arbeitskreise in China ins Leben zu rufen, um dem Erfahrungsaustausch einen Rahmen zu geben.
Nach dem großen Erfolg der ersten Veranstaltung wird auch im nächsten November wieder eine NAMUR-Konferenz in China stattfinden.

“NAMUR comes to China” – an extremely successful event
Many NAMUR member companies have production facilities in China or provide their engineering services there. NAMUR therefore decided about a year ago to hold a conference in China and thus promote the exchange of experience between automation engineering users under the special marginal conditions prevailing there.
This first NAMUR conference, held on the 19th and 20th of November 2009 in Shanghai under the motto “NAMUR comes to China”, exceeded all expectations in terms of the number of participants and content. It was distinguished by extremely interesting contributions and open discussions that demonstrated the immense interest of participants in an exchange of experience with colleagues. “NAMUR comes to China“ involved 88 participants from more than 20 companies in the process industry, universities and the press. This not only represented an unexpectedly high number of participants: 88 is a lucky number in China, a fact which can only be considered a positive omen with regard to the activities of NAMUR.
“NAMUR comes to China“ was sponsored by Endress+Hauser and significantly supported in terms of content by valuable contributions.Endress+Hauser has its own production and sales divisions in China.
One result of “NAMUR comes to China“ was the identification of the following topics from the overall NAMUR spectrum as areas on which an initial exchange of experience in China should be concentrated:
- Explosion protection
- Functional safety
- Planning Asset management
- Distributed control system
The establishment of working groups in China is planned to address the topics identified and lend structure to the exchange of experience.
Following the enormous success of this initial event, a NAMUR conference will also be held in China next November.
