NAMUR at Industrial Automation 2012
Die Automation & IT Tour unter dem Motto „Follow the red carpet“ fasste bei der Hannovermesse 2012 die Ausstellungsbereiche der Automatisierungstechnik zusammen. Die Einrichtung der Automation & IT Tour war ein weiterer Schritt in der umfassenden Neuordnung des Bereichs „Industrial Automation“, die im Jahr 2011 begonnen worden war.
Unter anderem wurde der Bereich „Process Automation“ nicht mehr als eher singuläre Veranstaltung in Halle 7 platziert, sondern wurde zusammen mit anderen Themen der „Industrial Automation“ in Halle 11 integriert. Die Zusammenlegung der „Factory Automation“ und der „Process Automation“ war besonders von Ausstellern gefordert worden, da immer mehr Anbieter in beide Bereiche liefern. Diese Umstrukturierung war erfolgreich, die erwarteten Synergieeffekte konnten genutzt werden und haben zu einer deutlichen Belebung der entsprechenden Teile der Messe geführt.
Die NAMUR gehört zu den Trägerverbänden der „Industrial Automation“ und hat die Hannovermesse aktiv bei der Erarbeitung und Umsetzung des neuen Konzeptes unterstützt.
Auf der Messe selbst war das Engagement der NAMUR sichtbar in der Beteiligung am MES-Kongress und der „Energy Efficiency Arena“ sowie der Präsenz der NAMUR mit einem eigenen Stand in Halle 11, der Anlaufpunkt für die Community aus der Prozessautomatisierung war. Auf diesem Stand wurden unter anderem passend zum Partnerland der Hannovermesse die Aktivitäten der NAMUR in China vorgestellt. Insbesondere bei chinesischen Besuchern der Messe stieß dieses Engagement der NAMUR auf großes Interesse.
Die Hannovermesse 2012 war für die NAMUR insgesamt eine sehr erfolgreiche Veranstaltung.

True to the motto “Follow the red carpet”, the Automation & IT Tour connected the exhibition areas for automation technology at the Hannover Messe 2012 trade show. The Automation & IT Tour was instituted as a further step in the comprehensive reorganisation of the “Industrial Automation” area which began in 2011.
Among other developments, “Process Automation” was no longer staged as a singular event in Hall 7, but rather integrated with other “Industrial Automation” topics in Hall 11. The amalgamation of “Factory Automation” and “Process Automation” in particular was called for by exhibitors, as an increasing number of providers supply products and services in both areas. This restructuring proved to be successful, as the anticipated synergy effects could be exploited and clearly stimulated the individual areas of the trade show.
NAMUR belongs to the “Industrial Automation” support associations, having actively assisted the Hannover Messe trade show in the development and realisation of the new concept.
This commitment was visible at the trade show itself in participation in the MES Congress and “Energy Efficiency Arena” and the presence of NAMUR with its own stand in Hall 11, the focal point for the process automation community. In addition to other exhibits and events, the activities of NAMUR in China were presented on this stand, a fitting gesture to the partner country of the Hannover Messe trade show. This commitment on the part of NAMUR generated a high level of interest, particularly among Chinese visitors to the trade show.
Overall, the Hannover Messe 2012 trade show proved to be a very successful event for NAMUR.
