About us

PROLIST® INTERNATIONAL was founded at BASF in Ludwigshafen on June 19, 2008. PROLIST® INTERNATIONAL is the successor organization to the Project Group “Lists of Properties" (PROLIST®).
Over a period of 5 years the process industry (NAMUR) and the electrical and electronics industries (ZVEI) have collaborated to define and record properties and lists of properties for process control/automation devices and systems. The work was carried out by the Project Group “Lists of Properties (PROLIST®) with the support of NAMUR and ZVEI. PROLIST® INTERNATIONAL is now continuing these activities with the main emphasis on operative implementation.
As before, the aim is to pursue the standardization work by further developing the NAMUR Recommendation 100 (NE 100), to integrate this into the international standardization process, and to assist the Association’s members in implementing the standard. A new element is the stronger focus on attracting members from non-German-speaking countries and intensifying the cooperation with eCl@ss e.V. The basis for the latter is a cooperation agreement, the proposal for which was also approved on June 19, 2008.
The Association is headquartered in Leverkusen, Germany.
