Cooperation between PROLIST® INTERNATIONAL e.V. and eCl@ss e.V.


On June 19, 2008, PROLIST® INTERNATIONAL e.V. and eCl@ss e.V. decided to enter into a cooperation agreement, which has now been signed.
 In addition, an application was submitted for the project "eCl@ss für den Mittelstand (KMU)" [eCl@ss for SMEs] instituted by the German Federal Ministry of Economics. This project was approved on August 1, 2008. (More information can be found here.) (German only)
 The cooperation between the two organizations is based on the following principles:

PROLIST® INTERNATIONAL provides support to eCl@ss regarding the full scope of work of the working group for Class 27.
eCl@ss as well as any other third party, e.g. UNSPSC, may use the results of the PROLIST® INTERNATIONAL free of
charge.
The lists of properties will be internationally standardized and will thus become freely accessible to third parties in general.
With NE 100, PROLIST® INTERNATIONAL describes the lists of properties for automation components in plant engineering
from the technical inquiry through to maintenance. This supports the integration of applications used by manufacturers or
users throughout the life cycle of the plants.
 In addition, an/a joint application was submitted for the project “eCl@ss für den Mittelstand (KMU)‿ [eCl@ss for SMEs] instituted by the German Federal Ministry of Economics. This application was approved on August 1, 2008. (More information can be found here.) (German only)

 Harmonization of industry standards with eCl@ss currently ETIM, proficl@ss and PROLIST
 To establish sustainable and comprehensive electronic data exchange procedures, the ETIM, proficl@ss and PROLIST® International associations have decided to harmonize their respective industry-oriented content with the eCl@ss standard.
 To achieve long-term stability and effectiveness of the process and to assure the sustainability of the harmonization work, in particular with a view to protecting the investments of small and medium-sized enterprises, the project partners will continue their cooperation with eCl@ss e.V., as appropriate, beyond the completion date of the actual project until the end of 2013.
 To ensure the transfer of information among the respective industries, joint information meetings will be held as appropriate for the target groups in each case.
