The first PROLIST® Workshop was held in Lahnstein, Germany, on March 20/21, 2007.

Under the motto  Optimization of Business Processes – Launching into the Age of LOP Implementation, presentations were delivered on the following topics:

NE 100 Version 3.0 and outlook (incl. status of international standardization)
Implementation of NE 100 in the enterprises (incl. experience reports from manufacturers and users)
Review of benefits provided by NE 100
Database concept of NE 100 with next steps
Engineering workflow in the light of NE 100

The future of the PROLIST® organization was also discussed.

Breakout sessions on the evening of the first day generated lively discussions, the results of which were presented on the second day.

The breakout sessions covered the following topics:

Support/optimization of the implementation of NE 100 in enterprises for data exchange with other enterprises
IT support for the optimization of business processes 
International standardization
Using NE 100 to support internal business processes in planning and maintenance
PROLIST® content
Migration concept

The workshop was rated as good by the 70 participants. It showed the participants, comprising members and non-members of PROLIST®, that there was still a great deal to be done to facilitate implementation of NE 100 in enterprises. There is also a need to increase the awareness of PROLIST® and, above all, to make it more international. The workshop was a first step in this direction.
